Accelerating the energy transition: flexible, balanced, innovative

At the heart of AlHassan Energy is physical trading. Effective distribution of energy around the world as leading physical trader and marketer of crude oil, refined petroleum products, petrochemicals, natural gas and liquefied natural gas, biofuels, power, and carbon emissions.

Connecting vital resources by buying from producers and delivering to refiners, wholesalers and distributors worldwide. We partner with our clients to foster innovative and decarbonisation initiatives to help guide the energy transition.

With our renowned expertise in the energy space, we create diversified value across our portfolio, providing safe and reliable solutions for every phase of development. Our collaborative efforts aim to drive sustainable progress and shape a cleaner, more efficient future for the energy industry.

  • Commodities
AlHassan Energy has expanded trading volumes year-on-year in line creating, efficiently connecting physical energy and bulk materials from where they are sourced and stored to where they are demanded most.
  • Green Generation
We actively contribute to decarbonization by increasing climate-neutral energy and aims to significantly expand our green generation capacities with further investments to planned to significantly bolster our portfolio.
  • Flexible Generation
We we combine all generation capacities that contribute to ensuring grid stability and security of supply, generating power by capitalising on abundant indigenous resources, such as gas. A critical gap in the energy transition that is needed.

AlHassan Energy is committed to building an energy business for the future

We are committed to investing in low-carbon hydrogen, solar, wind, battery storage, and emission reduction technologies to offer more sustainable energy solutions for our customers.

  • Renewables

Transforming the energy production landscape from fossil fuels to renewable sources is crucial for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving climate targets. To support this transition, we are making strategic investments in and developing solar, wind, and geothermal power projects. Our focus is on harnessing these sustainable energy sources to provide cleaner alternatives and significantly impact the global effort to combat climate change.

  • Hydrogen

Hydrogen serves as a versatile energy source, applicable in power generation, transportation fuel, industrial manufacturing, and building heating. Its critical advantage lies in generating no harmful emissions when used as a fuel. By investing in hydrogen, we can significantly decrease greenhouse gas emissions and support diverse energy needs with minimal ecological footprint. We aim to invest in low-carbon hydrogen projects with a total 1GW by 2030.

  • Carbon capture and storage

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is an established technology that captures carbon dioxide emissions before they enter the atmosphere. It is particularly beneficial for industries with high CO2 emissions, such as steel, cement, and refining, helping them reduce their carbon footprint and remain competitive in a net-zero world. Suitable geological regions for CCS feature deep underground rock formations that allow for carbon storage without disrupting local communities or ecosystems.

  • Biogas

Biogas plays a crucial role in AlHassan Energy bioenergy transition, offering a cost-effective renewable alternative. It aids both existing and new customers in reducing carbon emissions by utilising existing energy infrastructure. As biogas continues to provide significant value now and in the future, it supports the development of new energy pathways such as methanol and ammonia for shipping, E-fuels, and hydrogen, ensuring a sustainable and decarbonized energy solution.
